Ada (Iacovitti) D'Angelo, 86, of North Tonawanda, NY, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 8, 2015 at her residence. Born in Ovindoli, L'Aquila, Italy she was the daughter of the late Augustino and Victoria Iacovitti.
Ada was educated in Italy and in 1948 she married Joseph D'Angelo. Following their marriage they immigrated to the United States and settled in Niagara Falls, NY. Joseph predeceased her on July 1, 1985. Ada was a longtime member of St. Jude the Apostle Church in North Tonawanda and a former member of Prince of Peace Church in Niagara Falls, NY. She was a devoted wife and mother. Ada also took great pride in being a homemaker, and was known for her wonderful cooking.
Ada is survived by three children Robert (Karen) D'Angelo, Joseph (Christine) D'Angelo and Diana (Anthony) Bonura, five grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10th from 4 – 7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 11th at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent DePaul at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Jeff Nowak officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
