Adeline R. Virtuoso Kilkenny, of Niagara Falls, passed away on January 8, 2021 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility, Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Angeline (Ranalli) Virtuoso.
Adeline attended local schools, graduating from Niagara Falls High School. She later attended classes at Union College while she resided in Schenectady, NY. She was employed at the former Kimberly Clark in Niagara Falls, NY as well as at Twin Fair in Lockport, NY. In addition, she worked as a Lunch Monitor for the Niagara Falls Board of Education and volunteered as a Foster Grandparent at St. Mary's Hospital and Daycare Center.
Adeline was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus #247, St. Francis Guild of St. Mary's Hospital, Rosary and Alter Society of Mt. Carmel Church, as well as Our Lady of Fatima Shrine. In addition, she was a member of Cataract Lodge #240 and Travel Club, as well as a member of her championship Bocce Team, the Ladies Lawn Bowling League, a volunteer at Artpark Theatre, a volunteer at the Festival of Lights, as well as a member of the Golden Ages Senior Citizens Club. She loved going to the Casino. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, and in 1993, her, her sister Rose, and their friend Toni Finley attended Super Bowl 28 in Pasadena, CA.
The family would like to thank her caretakers, Gina Virtuoso and Tammy Curcione, as well as Schoellkopf Health Care Facility and Niagara Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Adeline.
Adeline is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings, Rose M. Virtuoso, Armand (survived by Carmella) Virtuoso, Alfred (late Frances) Virtuoso, G. Thomas 'Guady' (late Laura) Virtuoso, Anthony (late Victoria) Virtuoso, Guido (late Elia) (late Angela) Virtuoso, Octavio (late Mary (late Clara) Virtuoso, and George Virtuoso.
Private funeral services and entombment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY will be held at the convenience of the family.
