Agnes F. 'Theresa' Pilon, 81, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on April 18, 2025, at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.  Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jonah and Fredricka (Mokes) Smith.

Theresa, as she was affectionately known, came to the area with her family as a child in the 1950s.  She graduated from Tonawanda High School and later went on to earn her Associates' Degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Gates Circle Hospital in Buffalo, NY.  Theresa was employed as an LPN for over 30 years, working at the Buffalo VA Hospital and various nursing homes until her retirement in the early 2000s.  Theresa enjoyed fishing, collecting lighthouses, and spending time with her beloved cat, Jingles.

Agnes is survived by her son, James D. (late Jennifer) Martelle; step-children, Patrick (Patty) Pilon, and Daniel Pilon; her grandchildren, Laurie, Brandon, Lily and Teddy; her great-grandchildren, Emma, Hunter, Chase, Devon, and Amelia; her siblings, Patricia (late Robert) Starr, Mary (Richard) Wilke, and John 'Jack' Smith, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was sadly predeceased by her first husband, Delbert J. Martelle, and second husband, Daniel E. Pilon.
