Al "Alfie" Fera, 71, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday June 1, 2013 at Niagara Hospice House, while surrounded by his loving family, in Lockport, NY. He was the son of the late Angelo R. and Philomena (Cusimano) Fera.

Alfie attended school at Niagara Falls High School. He began working at Harrison Radiator in Lockport, NY and later worked for over thirty two years as a stage hand at Artpark in Lewiston, until his retirement in 2009. Alfie also served in the Army National Guard of New York. In his leisure he enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and bowling. Alfie was a gifted carpenter and was very talented in the completion of many construction projects. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Al is survived by his wife, Beverly (Jeffords) Fera; four children, Korie (Danny) Koker, and Anthony "Tony" (Stephanie) Fera, both of Las Vegas, NV, Penny (Patrick) Pearson of Youngstown, NY, and Shannon (John) Andrews of Niagara Falls, NY; four grandchildren, Bailey Pearson, Johnathan Pearson, Mia Andrews and Jake Andrews; one sister, Violet (late Albert 'Pee Wee') Proietti of Town of Niagara, NY; two brothers, Angelo 'Ducky' (late Carmella) Fera of Niagara Falls, NY, and William Fera of Aberdeen, WA. He was the brother-in-law of Melvin "Skip" (Linda) Jeffords of South Carolina, Allen Jeffords, Glenn "Bear" Jeffords, Mike "Country" Jeffords, and Debbie (Louie) Bax, all of Niagara Falls, NY, and is also survived many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Caroline (late Michael) Gagliano, and Mafalda "Muffy" (late John) Sgro, and three brothers, Joseph (late Rosemary) Fera, Dominic 'Don' (Jeanette of Town of Niagara, NY) Fera, and Eugene (Caroline of Niagara Falls, NY) Fera.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Tuesday, June 4th at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph's Church 1413 Pine Ave, Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
