Albert Butcher, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the cherished son of the late Albert and Eleanor (Cormier) Butcher.
Albert was a graduate of Lew Port High School and earned his Associate's degree in Business from Bryant and Stratton College. On October 19, 1968 he married his loving wife, Katheryn (Conway) Butcher at the former Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Butcher was employed as an accountant at SKW and more recently at Edwards High Vacuum up until his illness. He was also a longtime parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Church and also a member of their Bingo Committee. Albert enjoyed tending to his garden, but above all he loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 47 years, he is also survived by his three children, Timothy (Jenn) Butcher, Todd (Annie) Butcher and Tammy (Craig) Campbell; four grandchildren Colin Campbell, Alec Campbell, Katy Butcher and Murphy Butcher; one sister, Patricia (Carl) Brown, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Albert was predeceased by one sister Jeanne (Cornelius) Miller.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 1st from 4 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where a prayer service will follow at 8 P.M. Interment will be held privately in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial donations in Albert's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of WNY, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6, Williamsville, NY 14221.
