Obituary

Albert V. Pino, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY on Wednesday June 29, 2011 after a brief illness. He was born in Beyer, PA on May 19, 1921 to the late Vincenzo and Raffaele (Pellegrino) Pino.

Albert attended local schools and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1942 until his honorable discharge in 1943. He worked at Hooker Chemical Co. in Niagara Falls and was a member of Local 22 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union until his retirement in 1983. Albert was an avid golfer and his love of the game started many years ago as a young caddy. He was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus #247 and a member of the American Legion John J. Welch Post.

Mr. Pino is survived by his loving wife Bertha (Pace) Pino and would have celebrated sixty eight years of marriage on July 10, 2011. They spent many happy years together traveling and spending winters in Florida where he was also an honorary member of the Italian American Club in Clearwater. He was a patriarch, and his concern for family was a significant part of his life proving to be a constant source of guidance, caring, generosity and love.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is also survived by his daughter, Marylyn (Walter) Trzeciak of Lewiston, NY; two sons Vincent (Patricia) Pino of Ft. Myers, FL and Michael Pino of Tampa, FL; four grandsons, Vincent Pino, Mark (Susan) Pino, Zachary Pino and Nathan Pino, one granddaughter Carla Pino, six great-grandchildren, one brother James (late Pat) Pino of North Carolina, two sisters Dora (Gerardo) Franciosa of Florida and Gloria (Bert) Obleski of Pennsylvania and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by four sisters, Antoinette (late Anthony) DeMartino, Josephine (late Samuel) Fruscione, Aida (late John) Nicholson and Pearl (late Charles) Cirrito.

Visitation will be held on Saturday July 2nd from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in St. Vincent DePaul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Robert Stolinski officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers are gratefully declined.
