Albert Lewis Sr., 79, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 20, 2024. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late William S. and Bertha (Vaughn) Lewis; and the beloved husband of Jo-Anne (Rieckhoff) Lewis, whom he married in 1965.

Albert was a graduate of Niagara-Wheatfield High School and became a certified iron worker after completing his training and serving his apprenticeship. He was employed for many years with Iron Workers Local #9 in Niagara Falls prior to his retirement.

Al was a member of the New York State DEC and Wildlife Conservation, as well as the Masonic Lodge No. 1049 in Niagara Falls. He was also an avid bowler, hunter, fisher, and former Archery Instructor for New York State. Above all, Al cherished the time spent with his beloved family.

In addition to his wife of 59 years, Al is survived by his four children, Albert (Susan) Lewis Jr., Alishia (James) Panton, Joelle (Chris) Lewis and Jeff Lewis; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Charles (Ann) Osborne, Thomas (Mabel) Lewis and Sandy (late David) Duncan, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Al was predeceased by his siblings, William P. Lewis, Sharon Ecker, Donald (Beth) Lewis, John Lewis, Graydon (Betty) Lewis, Agatha Pasmore and Henrietta Powell.
