Albert Yankelunas, 92, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away unexpectedly on Friday May 25, 2012 at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, NY. Born and educated in Nanticoke, PA he was the son of the late William and Domicella (Bosso) Yankelunas.

Albert came to the Niagara Falls area in the early 1940's and married Josephine (Beltrano) Yankelunas on February 23, 1944. He worked as a foreman at Kimberly-Clark in Niagara Falls, NY and retired after 45 years of service. In his leisure he enjoyed dancing, music, and was an avid New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills fan.

In addition to his wife of sixty-eight years, he is survived by three children Robert (Filomena) Yankelunas, Carol (Gary) Smith, both of Lewiston, NY and Alan (Elizabeth) Yankelunas. He was predeceased by two infant sons, Leonard and William Yankelunas. He is survived by four grandchildren Patrick Yankelunas, Andrea (Cory) Rotella-Diez, both of Lewiston, NY, Tammi (David) Lambert of Walworth, NY, and Gary (Laura) Smith, Jr. of Clarence Center, NY; eight great-grandchildren Connor, Cayla, Autumn, and Austin Smith, Karrigan, Allison, and Julia Rotella, and Victoria Lambert. He was predeceased by his brother Leonard W. Yankelunas and his sister, Amelia Hartman.

There will be no prior visitation. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to Susan G.
