Alexander Jagger "AJ" Porter, 18, of Tuscarora Nation died on Sunday April 29, 2012. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of Paula (Printup-Porter) Robert Sr. Leighton, Turtle Clan of Cayuga Nation and the late Gary "Doda" Porter of Six Nations.

AJ was known for his smile, compassion and his love for life. He graduated from N.W.H.S in 2011. AJ attended Boces for security and law in hopes to become a police officer. He was currently employed as an attendant at Gail's Tobacco and Smoke Shop. AJ enjoyed cooking, shopping, pulling pranks, laughing and play the yellow car game. He will be remembered as a gentle, respectful young man who was eager to help others before himself.

In addition to his mother, AJ is survived by four brothers Emmett Gronnevik of Houston, TX; Cody Porter-Printup of Canada, Garrett "HB" Porter of Tuscarora Nation and Anthony "Sweet Pea" Leighton of Tuscaloosa, AL; his maternal grandmother Carol (late Neal) (Williams) Printup of Cayuga Nation; his paternal grandfather Donald (late Marlene Gellerson) Porter of Six Nations; five nieces Sophie of TX, Lilee, Nevaeh, Sadie, Sophia Porter-Printup all of Canada; also survived by his several dear friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 5 – 7 p.m. and on Monday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday May 8th at 12 noon at the Tuscarora Indian Mission Church. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT THE CHURCH. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. A written tribute to AJ and flowers would be greatly appreciated by his family.
