Alfredo, as he was also known, graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School in 1951 and during the Korean War served in the United States Army from February 1953 until his honorable discharge on February 1955. He was devoted to his family and friends. Even after his eyesight was failing, he enjoyed and skillfully built projects for his home and family members.
Al enjoyed hunting and cherished daily walks with family and friends. Those walks were a precious time of conversation, laughter and friendship. He was viewed by his family and friends as a quiet yet insightful man who had the special gift of making each of us feel as if we were the most important person in the world. He remained strong, positive and always an inspiration to those around him.
