Alfreda Crochan, 60, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026, at Niagara Hospice House. Born and raised in Niagara Falls, she was the beloved daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Kelly) Crochan. 

Alfreda spent her life surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She shared a special bond with her siblings and treasured the many memories they created together throughout the years. Known for her quick wit, infectious laughter, and wonderful sense of humor, Alfreda had a gift for making others smile. She enjoyed joking around, telling stories, and bringing happiness to those around her. 

Although Alfreda was blind, she never allowed her disability to define her or limit her spirit. She met life's challenges with remarkable strength and determination. Intelligent, insightful, and independent, she earned the admiration of everyone who knew her. Her positive outlook and unwavering perseverance served as an inspiration to family and friends alike.

Music held a special place in Alfreda's heart. She especially loved B.B. King and found comfort, joy, and connection through his music. Whether listening to her favorite songs or sharing them with others, music was one of life's simple pleasures that she treasured deeply.

Alfreda will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, her love of family and friends, and the enduring example she set of living life with courage and optimism. 

Alfreda is survived by her two siblings, Jackie Crochan and Alfred Crochan; her favorite cousin, Larry Washington, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and freinds. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two siblings, Louie Wright and Annette Crochan.
