Alice (Beredjiklian) Avdoian, 89, of Niagara Falls NY, died on Sunday February 18, 2018 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. Born on July 8. 1928 in Cairo, Egypt, she was the daughter of the late Yenovk and Loosaper (Vanzian) Beredjiklian. Alice was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY after moving here from Toronto, Canada in 1958. She was married to Arsen Avdoian for 46 years until his death in 2006.

Alice worked as an Administrative Assistant at Crown Life Insurance Co. In Toronto. She was a Volunteer for over 40 years at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital with the Red Cross in the Emergency Department. Alice was a longtime active member of St. Sarkis Armenian Church.  She loved to travel, work in her garden, take care of her beloved pets, and was fluent in five languages, Armenian, English, French, Arabic and Turkish. Alice was thankful for her loving family and friends. . She was a person who overcame life's difficulties with grace and elegance. Alice loved life. Her favorite piece of advice in life was "you either sink or swim." Alice always choose to swim.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Ani L. Avdoian of Niagara Falls, NY, siblings, Yeghia Beredjklian, Norair (Sally) Beredjiklian, Anahid Zaker, Sirvart (late John) Heathcote and many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.  She was also predeceased by four siblings, Marie (late Hagop) Boudakian, Hagop (late Dalita) Beredjiklian, Krikor (Velma) Khatchadourian, and Lucy (late Kevork) Meymarian.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 Military Rd. Niagara Falls, NY. Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 22 ^nd at 12 Noon in St. Sarkis Armenian Church, 300-9 ^th St. Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Fr. Stepanos Doudoukjian, officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will be in Riverdale Cemetery.
