Alice (Alviti) Denitto, 94, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Rome, Italy she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (DeLuca) Alviti.

Alice immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of seven and settled in Niagara Falls where she attended local schools. On January 10, 1942 she married Orlando "Sonny" Denitto at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls and was predeceased by him on December 29, 2010. Alice was a member of Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish and the John Duke Senior Center both in Niagara Falls, NY. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing Bingo, card games and going to the casino. Above all, Alice cherished the time spent with her loving family, especially Deborah and Tamara, whom she loved so dearly.

Alice is survived by her devoted daughter Mary Denitto of Lewiston, NY; granddaughter Deborah (late George) Gioanni; great-grandchildren Tamara Gioanni and James Eggleston and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four siblings Josephine (late Anthony) DiLeonardo, Theresa (late Leo) Mallamaci, Albert (Augie of Lewiston, NY) Alviti and Yolanda (late Angelo) Maura.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 27th at 10 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S, officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
