Altoon Sahagian,86 of Niagara Falls, NY died on Wednesday July 14,2010 at her residence under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls,NY she was the daughter of the late Ohannes and Siranush (Alexanian) Sahagian. Altoon was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On July 11, 1942 she married Sam Sahagian. Mr. Sahagian predeceased her on November 30, 1987. She was employed as a laboratory analyst at DuPont Co. and at Carborundum Co. both in Niagara Falls, NY. An avid sewer, she also worked as a seamstress for Opportunities Unlimited in Niagara Falls. Altoon was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed cooking. In her leisure time she liked completing crossword puzzles and playing video games.

Altoon is survived by five children Sandra (late Gary R. Davis) Lohm of Niagara Falls, NY; Monica (Bruce) Swain of Grand Island, NY; Sara Sahagian of Plantation, FL; Patricia (Ronald Carter) Sahagian of Niagara Falls, NY and Sam Sahagian of Plantation, FL; three grandchildren Sharon Davis, Bruce Swain and Paul Swain and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one grandson Gary Davis, Jr.; two sisters Sue Berak, Nancy Sarkees and one brother Paul "Pano" Sahagian.

There will be no prior visitation. Friends and family are invited to attend services on Monday July 19th at 10:30 a.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, 763 Portage Road, Niagara Falls, NY with the Archpriest Armen Ishkhanian officiating, and assisting, Deacon Albert Amato.
