Amanda Hescox, 33, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 25th at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Lewiston, NY, she was the loving daughter of the late James W. Conklin, Jr. and Karla M. (Bartel) Rinker.

Amanda attended local schools and graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield Highschool in 2000. On June 22, 2002 she married her beloved husband, Joseph Hescox in Niagara Falls. Amanda was currently employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Northgate Manor in Wheatfield, NY for the past 14 years.

Amanda's life was dedicated and devoted to her daughter, Merissa. She was an active "dance mom" at Jaclyn Carols Dance Academy in North Tonawanda, NY, where she took part in all facets of her daughter's dancing from fundraising to costume planning.

In addition to her husband and daughter, Amanda is survived by her sister DeeAnn (James) Whitehead of Corning, NY; maternal grandparents Harold (Dorothy) Bartel; paternal grandfather James (late Mary) Conklin, Sr.; grandmother-in-law Cookie (Gene) Sembert; grandfather-in-law Joe Hescox; and two brothers-in-law, Shane Hescox and Jason (Kelly) Francis. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 29th from 4 - 6 P.M. and Monday, November 30th from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, December 1st at 10:00 A.M. in St. Vincent de Paul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Merissa Hescox Trust Fund.
