Ambrose M. "Marty" Rhoney, 57, of Niagara Falls, NY formerly of Lewiston, NY passed away on January 5, 2017 at Buffalo Mercy Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Ambrose and Mary (Nassoy) Rhoney.

Marty, as he was affectionately known to family and friends, was a devoted and loving husband and father. He worked hard his whole life to provide for his family. Hard work and working for what one has is what he believed in the most. Marty was the most kind hearted, energetic, goofy person one could ever meet and he was loved by everyone he met.

Marty graduated from Lewiston Porter High School and later attended a trade school for welding. Marty was employed as a driver for Class Act Delivery in Buffalo since 1990. In 1997, he also started his own business, Express Linen. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Buffalo Bills. and enjoyed collecting sports trading cards. He also enjoyed reading newspapers from around the state, but most of all loved spending time with his granddaughter Deserae.

Marty is survived by his wife, Dawn (Hughes) Rhoney, two children Melody (Reuben) Cusick and Rick Rhoney and was predeceased by his daughter Rachel Misinec. He is also survived by his granddaughters Deserae Cusick, Tamia Misinec, grandsons Ryan Mort and Tyler Mort, and his step-sons, Billy, Danny and Tommy.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 13th from 1 – 2 p.m. at the M.J.
