Amelia "Millie" Gonzalez, 87 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Thursday December 24, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Angela Rose (Mari) Massi.

Millie as she was affectionately known by family and friends, moved to the Niagara Falls, NY area with her family in the late 1940's. For fifty years, she worked as an Avon Cosmetics representative. Millie was an outstanding bowler and participated in many local and state tournaments. She was especially proud of scoring a 279 using a 10 pound back-up ball, and was later inducted into the Niagara Falls Bowling Hall of Fame for her accomplishments. She also enjoyed lawn bowling, bocce, and in her younger years, participated in various local softball leagues. Millie was an avid Euchre and Poker player. She especially liked playing cards every Friday with her friends of over 50 years and friends from the Seniors Reunited at the John Duke Center. Millie was a member of the Ladies Cristoforo Colombo Society and bingo volunteer for St. Vincent DePaul Parish, Prince of Peace Site in Niagara Falls. Millie most enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and attending their concerts and sporting events.

Millie is survived by her three children, Anthony P. (Barbara) Gonzalez, Jill M. Gonzalez and Gina L. (Joseph A.) Corio all of Niagara Falls, NY, six grandchildren, Tracy Gonzalez, Lee Gonzalez, Aaron Gonzalez, Charles (fiancé Susan Kranz) Corio, Maria Corio and Joseph A. Corio, Jr., two great-grandchildren Ethan and Mallorie, one sister Chris (Earl) Kostuk of Niagara Falls, NY, one brother Albert (Marilyn) Massi of Niagara Falls, Ontario as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Diane (Dominic of Niagara Falls, NY) Luna and Bruna (late Jack) Smith of Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Millie's family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff of Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence for the compassionate care Millie received during her time there.

There will be no prior visitation. A Committal service will be held on Wednesday, December 30th at 11 A.M. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Holy Angels Mausoleum 500 Riverdale Ave. Lewiston, NY with Rev.
