Amy Lee Bernadette (Toarmino) D'Angelis, 41, of North Tonawanda, NY was taken to her home by angels on Sunday June 20, 2010 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital in North Tonawanda, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of Leo L. and Ruth W. (Wheeler) Toarmino of Niagara Falls, NY.

Amy was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. She attended local schools and graduated from the former LaSalle Senior High School. She later attended Niagara County Community College in Sanborn, NY and the State University of New York College at Buffalo where she majored in Special Education. Amy was employed as a manager at Movie Time and later as a collector at NCO Financial Systems, Inc. in Getzville, NY. On October 26, 1996 she married Joseph A. D'Angelis in Niagara Falls, NY. She was a member of the Cristoforo Colombo Society in Niagara Falls, NY. Amy was very active at her son's school in his participation in extracurricular activities, and also volunteered for C.A.P.S. in North Tonawanda, NY. Her favorite pastimes included reading, cooking, arts and crafts and making chocolate. Amy also enjoyed traveling and working on her computer.

In addition to her husband and parents, Amy is survived by her children, David Anthony D'Angelis of North Tonawanda, NY, Lauren D'Angelis of Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by one son Christopher D'Angelis. She is also survived by one sister, Diana (Lawrence) Vilardo of the Town of Niagara, NY; her niece Elizabeth D'Angelis, Godson and nephew Salvatore Vilardo, nephews Marco Leo Vilardo and Angelo Joseph Vilardo and several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Amy was the daughter-in-law of Paul and Nancy D'Angelis of Niagara Falls, NY.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Thursday June 24th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Vincent DePaul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY. Interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
