Andrew "Archie" Proietti, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Friday February 17, 2012 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Alexandero and Marion (Mulé) Proietti.

Archie was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. He attended local schools including the former Trott Vocational High School. He was a carpenter and member of the Carpenters Union Local #280 in Niagara Falls and worked at various area construction jobs. Archie was a member of the LaSalle Sportsman Club, the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Lodge. He was also an avid hunter, and in his leisure time enjoyed gardening and woodworking projects. Most of all, Archie's greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Proietti was predeceased by his wife Janet (Scrivano) Proietti.
He is survived by his two daughters, Andrea Tamborski of Wheatfield, NY and Natalie (Henry Sr.) Grunzweig of Grand Island, NY; three grandchildren, Ryan Tamborski, Nicholas Tamborski and Henry Grunzweig, Jr.; his devoted companion Shirley Eager, one brother, John (Mary) Proietti of Lewiston, NY; three sisters, Emily (late Leroy) Walker, Anna (William) Hartman and Rosalie Proietti all of Lewiston, NY as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 – 6 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday February 20th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at10:00 a.m. in St. Vincent DePaul at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
