Angela M. (Garabedian) LaVerdi, 50, of Lewiston, NY died on Thursday November 19, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her family while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of Anne (Martino) Garabedian of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Joseph 'Scuppy' Garabedian.

Angela attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On May 11, 1991 she married Nunzio LaVerdi in Niagara Falls, NY. Angela was currently employed in the Dietary Department at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center; a job she loved since she began working there in 1994. Prior to that, she worked in the Deli Department at the former Super Duper in the City Market until the store's closing. She took great pride in her home and was a meticulous housekeeper. In her leisure time Angela enjoyed her swimming pool and her house was always open to entertain guests especially for her annual Fourth of July party. She was devoted to her family and loved her dog Bella, but above all Angela was a loving mother.

In addition to her husband and mother, Angela is survived by one daughter Brittany LaVerdi of Lewiston, NY; one brother Larry Garabedian of Niagara Falls, NY; one sister Carol (Joseph) Gariano of Lewiston, NY; two nephews Nicky and Joey Gariano and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Angela was the daughter-in-law of Donald F. (Shirley) LaVerdi of Niagara Falls, NY.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday November 23rd at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent De Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Robert Hughson officiating. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Flowers are gratefully declined
