Angela (LaPorta) Previte Virtuoso, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Thursday March 19, 2009 at Elderwood Health Care Facility at Crestwood in Wheatfield, NY. Born in Montoperto, Sicily, Italy she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Carmela (Capostagno) LaPorta.

Angela immigrated to the United States as an infant with her family and settled in Niagara Falls, NY. She was predeceased by her husband James Previte on October 14, 1968, her son, Richard Previte, on February 13, 2004, and husband Guido Virtuoso on January 3, 2001. Angela loved listening to music and she also enjoyed dancing.

Mrs. Virtuoso is survived by two children; Nancy (Marvin) Wheeler of Fairport, NY and Bobby (Andrea) Previte of New York City, NY. Survivors also include three grandchildren; Stephen Lamb of Boston, MA; Erin Lander of Ocala, FL and Katherine "Kate" Previte of New York City, NY, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Angela was also predeceased by five sisters; Mary Murphy, Flora Butera, Rose Rufrano, Louisa LaMendola and Anna Mussari and two brothers John LaPorta and Joseph LaPorta.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where services will begin on Monday March 23rd at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with the Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. Entombment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
