Angeline M. (Prisutto) Guarno, 86 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on January 20, 2017 at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Rose (Marino) Prisutto.
Angeline was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls. She attended local schools including St. Joseph's School. On November 24, 1948 she married Anthony Guarno. Mr. Guarno predeceased her in 1984. Angeline worked in the housekeeping department of the Rapids Theater and later Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center until her retirement in 1990. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph's Church and member of the Madonna Del Soccorso Society and St. Leo's Church Prayer Group. She also enjoyed attending the John Duke Senior Center and taking bus trips. Angeline was an avid Buffalo Bills fan but most of all enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Angeline is survived by her two daughters, Roseann (James) Oakes of the Town of Tonawanda and Yolanda (David 'Jake') Jakubowski of Youngstown, 6 grandsons, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Antoinette (late Joseph) Alfiere and Philomena (late Andrew) Jozwik.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 3-8 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph's Church 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish or Niagara County SPCA.
