Angeline Rose (Pullo) Jacob, 77, of Niagara Falls, NY went home to be with her Lord on Thursday October 21, 2010 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY after a courageous battle with a long illness. Although bedridden for nearly 20 years, her illness never hindered her from being a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her positive attitude will always be remembered by many. She was the daughter of the late Dominic and Rose (Lucatra) Pullo. On January 15, 1955 she married Joseph L. Jacob in Sacred Heart Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Jacob predeceased her on October 8, 2009.

Angeline was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, where she attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. During the 1950's she worked as an operator at the former Bell Telephone Co. and later New York Telephone Co. in Niagara Falls, NY.

During her sons' school years, Angeline served as president of the St. Teresa's School Mother's Club and was one of the instrumental forces in forming their midnight bingo program, raising funds for school activities. At Bishop Duffy High School, Angie also served as Mother's Club President as well as volunteering at the library and bingo.

In her earlier years Angie enjoyed bowling in various leagues and was a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America Power City Lodge in Niagara Falls, NY.


Survivors include her four sons Joseph A. (Loretta) Jacob of Niagara Falls, NY, Dr. Richard L. (Rebecca) Jacob of Snyder, NY, Matthew M. (Bridgette) Jacob, Sr. of Liverpool, NY, and Randy K. (Randi Lynn) Jacob of West Seneca, NY; eleven grandchildren Rebecca (Peter) Gillette, Kristen Jacob, Jennifer Jacob, JoAnna Jacob, Vincent Jacob, Matthew M. Jacob, Jr., Andrea D. Jacob, Shane W. Jacob, Hannah R. Jacob, Adrianna Jacob, and Angelo R. Jacob; one brother Robert (Raffaela) Pullo of Niagara Falls, NY, one sister Rose Marie (late Philip) Reynolds of St. Catharines, Ontario, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters Michael (Evelyn of Niagara Falls, NY) Pullo, Florence (late Joseph) Meagher, Joseph (late Anna) Pullo, Saverio (late Betty) Pullo, Eleanor (late Joseph) Bernasconi, Theresa Dickerson, and Beverly (late Ricardo) Ross.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 – 6 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin Monday October 25th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Raphael Parish (formerly St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Church), College and Macklem Avenues, Niagara Falls with Rev.
