Anita E. (Perez) Carreno, 96, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on January 11, 2017 at Elderwood Health Care in Wheatfield. Born in Taylor Springs, IL she was the daughter of the late Ramon and Paula Perez.

Anita came to Niagara Falls as a child with her family and attended local schools. She married Joseph A. Carreno at Niagara University Alumni Chapel and was predeceased by him on March 2, 1981. Anita devoted her life to her family. She cherished spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.

Anita is survived by her three children, Bernard (Carol) Carreno of Youngstown, Richard J. (Christine) Carreno of Harbor Springs, MI and JoAnne (David) Brooks of Wheatfield; seven grandchildren, Carrie (Jeff) Carreno-Zingaro, Michael Carreno, Peter (Liz) Carreno, Patrick (Victoria) Carreno, Joseph Brooks, Thomas Brooks and Todd Brooks, five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Nicholas Perez, Celo Perez, Mary (late Frank) Maietta, Margaret Perez, Pauline (late Thomas) Embury, Lucy Perez and Josephine Marra.

Private funeral services and burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery were held at the convenience of the family.
