Anita B. Mallimo, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2022 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Nestore and Marina (Prinzi) Baldassarre.

Anita moved to Clearwater, FL with her family as a young girl and graduated from Clearwater High School.  On April 24, 1954, she married Saverio 'Joe' Mallimo at St. Cecelia's Church in Clearwater, FL, and returned to Niagara Falls following their marriage. Mr. Mallimo predeceased her on February 10, 2012.

Anita was a member of the Cristoforo Colombo Women's Auxiliary, the Lewiston Library Book Club, the former Red Hat Society and Beta Sigma Phi.  She enjoyed preparing weekly Saturday dinners for her family and spending time with friends daily at the Village Bake Shop.  In addition, she enjoyed world traveling, especially to Europe, as well as taking senior bus trips.

Anita is survived by her daughters, Rita (Jeffrey) Schultz and Joanne O'Leary; her grandchildren, Dr. Daniel Schultz, Andrew (Ashley) Schultz, and Declan O'Leary; a great-grandson, Ezra Schultz; her brother, Frank (late Joanne) Baldassarre, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 3 from 10 – 11 AM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin at 11 AM.  Private entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
