Anita Sidoni, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Thursday February 17, 2011 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Victoria (Ferri) Diana.

Anita was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She attended local schools including the former Trott Vocational High School. In 1947 she married Joseph E. Sidoni at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Sidoni predeceased her on March 27, 1989. Anita was a member of the Socialites, the Madonna Del Perpetuo Soccorso Society of St. Joseph's Church and the seniors clubs of St. Joseph Church and the former Our Lady of Lebanon Church. She enjoyed being a homemaker and especially liked cooking and baking. Anita's greatest pleasure was being with her family.

Mrs. Sidoni is survived by one son Vincent J. (Maureen) Sidoni of Amherst, NY; one daughter Diana J. Sidoni of Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by one son late John A. (late Kristine) Sidoni. She is also survived by six grandchildren Christina (Timothy) Rafferty, Jennifer Sidoni, Thomas Sidoni, Joseph Sidoni, Laura (Gary) Smith and Justin (Ann) Sidoni, six great grandchildren Connor, Cayla, Autumn, and Austin Smith, Natalie, and Nicholas Sidoni; one sister Carmella (Roy) Williams of Clark Summit, PA; two sisters-in- law Mary (late Peter) Colosi of Niagara Falls, NY and Sophie (Robert) DiCamillo of Lewiston, NY. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Anita was predeceased by two sisters Julia J. (late Ozzie) Buffone and Viola (late Richard) Leadbeater and one sister-in-law Rose (late Sam) Antonucci.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday February 21st at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary & Joseph at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
