Ann Beccari, 92, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY and Lewiston, NY entered into eternal rest on January 22, 2020 while surrounded by her loving family in her residence at Wheatfield Commons, North Tonawanda, NY, under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Francesca (LaCivita) Balassone.

Ann attended local schools and graduated from Trott Vocational High School.  On February 23, 1952, she married Giovanni "Mario" Beccari at St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls.  Mr. Beccari predeceased her on August 31, 2015.  Ann was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center during the 1950's.  Ann was the matriarch of the family and will be remembered most for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Throughout her life, Ann maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and touched the hearts of all who knew her.  She brought her Italian heritage to life through her cooking and baking from scratch.  The smell of tomato sauce simmering every Sunday was what made weekends special and brought a smile to all who entered her home.

Ann's strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the thoughtful, loving prayers of family and friends carried her through her final days.

Ann is survived by her children, Anthony (Tana) Beccari, Francesca (late David) Beccari, Salvatore (late Maryann) Beccari, Mary (Bill) Clark, and Julia Beccari; her nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; her siblings, Norma (late Angelo) Colao, Brother Gabriel 'Frank' Balassone, O.F.M., and Dominic (Marge) Balassone; her three sister-in-laws Giovanna, Josephine, and Teresa, as well as several nieces nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Ann was predeceased by her twin sister, Mary Colao (late John Gawel).

Ann was entombed in a private ceremony beside her husband in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  If desired, memorial offerings in Ann's memory may be made to Wheatfield Commons, 3920 Forest Park Way, North Tonawanda, NY 14120.  Arrangements by M.J.
