Ann Swaha Bednarski, 93, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Sunday April 17, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family while under the care of Presbyterian Hospice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Eva (Sansiadlo) Lysiak.

Ann was a resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. In the 1990's she moved to Albuquerque, NM to live with her family. In her younger years she enjoyed playing tennis and bowling and later enjoyed watching her grandchildren play basketball and soccer. Ann also liked watching basketball games on television.

Ann was predeceased by her husband Frederic Swaha and her later husband Ted Bednarski. She is survived by two children Fred (Claire) Swaha of Vermont and Andrea Spence of Los Alamos, NM; three grandchildren, Justin (Rachel) Spence, Nathan (Laura) Spence and Myriah (Akambe) Annankra, one step-grandson Bayley Palzer, one great-granddaughter Ariela Spence and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by one brother John (late Helen) Lysiak.

Ann will be forever young and forever in our hearts.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday April 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at Riverdale Cemetery, 5605 Lewiston Road, Lewiston, NY.
