Anna (Mastrogiuseppe) Alberico, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Sunday September 16, 2012 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born and educated in Sulmona, Abruzzo, Italy she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Carmela (Buccini) Mastrogiuseppe.

On May 9, 1953 she married Pasquale Alberico in Italy, and moved to Niagara Falls with their family in 1965. Mr. Alberico predeceased her on December 27, 2008. Anna worked as a seamstress at various retail stores in Niagara Falls, NY and later in the food service department for the Niagara Falls School system. She especially enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, and sewing. Most importantly, her life was centered on her family.

Mrs. Alberico is survived by two daughters, Maria (Paul) Accardo of Grand Island, NY and Josephine Alberico (Steven Adams) of Mint Hill, NC; two grandchildren Steven Accardo and Alyssa Accardo; two sisters and one brother, Lucia Marinucci, Assunta Marrone, and Armando Mastrogiuseppe, all of Italy, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Sante Mastrogiuseppe.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS NY. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday September 20th at 10:00 AM in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls NY, with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, OSFS officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Committal prayers and entombment will be held privately with the immediate family at St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, Heart Gifts Processing Center, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220.
