Anna C. (Cannata) Benvenuti, 96, of the Town of Niagara, NY went home to be with the Lord on Monday March 12, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Spezzano della Sila, Cosenza, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Vito and Concetta (Noce) Cannata.

Raised and educated in Italy, Anna married Pasquale "Patsy" F. Benvenuti on September 24, 1950. In 1951 she and her husband Patsy came to the Niagara Falls area where she has resided until the present time. Mr. Benvenuti predeceased her on May 21, 1971. Anna was a longtime devoted parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY, and member of the Madonna del Carmine Society. Anna's life was devoted to her family and being a homemaker. She especially enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting.

Anna is survived by one daughter, Linda M. (David E.) Pavicich of the Town of Niagara, NY, three step-daughters, Dina (late Thomas) Freidhof, Rita (late Joseph) Sarro both of Niagara Falls, NY and Norma (late William) Haluska of St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada, two grandchildren, David (Tammy) Pavicich and Frank (Katie) Pavicich, four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Maria, Frankie and Olivia, nine step-grandchildren, as well as several step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by one step-son, Vincent 'Jimmy' (Rose of Niagara Falls, NY) Benvenuti, one step-daughter Mary Benvenuti, three sisters Carmella Lecce, Maria Perri and Rita Cannata.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Friday March 16th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094.
