"Aunt Anna"
Anna M. (Ferro) Marrotta, 90, of Wheatfield, NY died on Friday February 20, 2009 at her residence. Born in Westfield, NY she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Mary (Cappellino) Ferro. She was predeceased by her husband William J. Marrotta.
Aunt Anna, as she was known to many, lived in Rochester, NY prior to coming to the Niagara Falls area where she currently resided. While living in Rochester, she was an election worker. Anna enjoyed being with her friends, playing cards, Bingo and going to the casino. She was an excellent cook and storyteller and will be remembered for her great sense of humor.
Anna is survived by one daughter Deborah (Steven) Burns of Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by two daughters Marie Marrotta and Camille (Richard of Rochester, NY) Pettinati. Survivors also include seven grandchildren Adam Tasseff, Mark Tasseff, Shawn Rinaldi, Sammy Pettinati, Barbara Pettinati, Annie Burns and Madeline Burns, two great grandchildren Cara Marie Tasseff and Dominic Joseph Tasseff and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister Joan (late Matthew) Mazza and one brother Frank (Lena of Rochester, NY) Ferro.
Friends may call on Sunday from 3 – 7 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday February 23rd at 10 a.m. in St. John De LaSalle Church, 8469 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Slawomir Siok, SAC officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester, NY. Flowers are gratefully declined.
