Anna Marie McCune, 98, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Friday September 24, 2010 at Schoellkopf Health Center in Niagara Falls, where she had been a resident. Born in Harrisburg, PA and raised in Monessen, PA, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Carmella (Malgeri/Marx) Thompson.

On September 28, 1933 she married Patsy McCune in Charleroi, PA. In 1945 they moved with their children to Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. McCune predeceased her in 1959. Anna Marie was a long-time employee of Carborundum Corporation in Niagara Falls, NY. In her spare time she enjoyed visiting her children, dancing, and playing cards.

Mrs. McCune is survived by her children, Patsy (Rosemary) McCune of Lewiston, NY, Patricia (Joseph) Stefanelli of Wheatfield, NY. She was predeceased by her son John (Frances of Niagara Falls, NY) McCune in 2007. Survivors also include her seven grandchildren, Lisa (Michael) DeSantis, Christopher (Patricia) McCune, Patrick McCune, John (Rena) McCune, Michael McCune, Frank (fiancé Melanie) McCune and Justine Stefanelli; 9 great-grandchildren, her sister Marie Perry of Pittsburgh, PA and many nieces and nephews. Anna Marie was predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters.

Visitation Sunday 4 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS where services will begin Monday September 27th at 11:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 NOON at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary & Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
