Anna T. (Gabrielli) Vitello, 89, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Thursday December 15, 2011 in Niagara Falls, NY after a brief illness. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Evo and Enes (Pesce) Gabrielli.
Anna was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and on October 23, 1948 she married Frank D. "Chick" Vitello at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Vitello predeceased her on April 13, 2001. 'Nani' as she was affectionately known by everyone, loved to cook, bake, knit and socialize with her neighbors.
Mrs. Vitello is survived by one son Thomas R. (Pamela) Vitello, Sr. of Niagara Falls, NY; three grandchildren Frank A. (Moka) Vitello of Alexandria, VA; Thomas R. Vitello Jr. and Nicholas C.T. Vitello both of Niagara Falls, NY; one sister Erma (late Antonio) Cavese of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews, godchildren and cousins. She was the sister-in-law of Antoinette (Michael) Alaimo, Margaret (late Louis) Godino and Grace (late Alfred) Schultz. Anna was predeceased by one sister Marie Gabrielli, one brother Richard (Marianne of Greensboro, NC) Gabrielli, brothers-in law and sisters-in-law Joseph (Lucille of Niagara Falls, NY) Vitello, Rose (late Tony) DeLoreto and Josephine (late Al) Pisarski.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday December 19th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
