Anne M. Coniglio 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, at Our Lady of Peace Health Care Facility while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Baio) Sanfilippo.
A 1949 graduate of Niagara Falls High School, Anne went on to earn her Cosmetology License and spent over 20 years as a self‑employed hairdresser, working both from her home and at various local shops. On April 14, 1956, she married Salvatore J. Coniglio, Sr. at St. Joseph Church. Mr. Coniglio predeceased her on April 6, 2016.
Anne later worked for New York State Parks as an office clerk for 14 years, followed by 10 years with the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission in Office Administration until her retirement. She enjoyed playing bocce, cooking, baking—especially her beloved apple pies—and was an avid shopper who was always fashionable and meticulously dressed. Social and a straight shooter, Anne spent her entire life caring for others, especially her parents and her brother, for whom she was a devoted advocate. Above all, she cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, NancyJo (Victor) Talarico, and son, Salvatore J. Coniglio; her beloved grandchildren, Nicholas Talarico, Nicole (Richard Dash) Talarico, Natalie (Timothy Gornbein) Talarico, and Samuel Coniglio; her one and only, cherished great‑granddaughter, Mila Arden. Also surviving are her sisters‑in‑law, Nancy (late Andrew) Maccagnano, Lucille (late Rick) Liberatore, and Phyllis (late Thomas) Coniglio, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband, Anne was predeceased by her dear brother, Charles Sanfilippo, and her sister, Annie Sanfilippo.
The family extends a heartfelt thank‑you to the staff of Our Lady of Peace Health Care Facility and Niagara Hospice for the compassionate care shown to Anne and her family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, from 10 AM – 12 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, where funeral services will follow at 12 PM. Entombment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
