Anne (Martin) Gonzalez, 94, of Niagara Falls, wife of the late Nicanor "Nick" Gonzalez, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Elderwood at Wheatfield.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, She was the daughter of the late Benito Sanabria and Teresa (Zipp) Martin.

Anne was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended Hyde Park Elementary, Gaskill Junior, and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She worked most of her life as a waitress, then in retail and then retired from the Niagara Convention and Business Bureau as Information Center Manager where she received many accolades and awards.  Anne met her husband Nick when she was twenty and they married in March of 1945. Anne loved music, especially Jazz and blues. She also liked to cook and read. Above all, Anne loved to spend time with her family especially spending time with all her grandchildren.

Anne is survived by her children Joyanne "Joy" Gonzalez and Nicholas "Nick" (Martha) Gonzalez; grandchildren, Nick (Tish) Gonzalez, Jr., Dr. Ronald (Karin) Barrett and Nicholas (Suzanne) Barrett; great-grandchildren, Dr. Cassandra Barrett, Amalia Barrett and Nicholas Jeffrey Gonzalez; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Gonzalez and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey J. Gonzalez and three sisters.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, April 18 ^th from 6 -8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM.   Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Anne Gonzalez to Elderwood at Wheatfield, 2600 Niagara Falls Blvd, NF, NY 14304.
