Anne Tighe, 100, previously of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully at Luxe Nursing Center in Jupiter, FL, under the care of her family and hospice on March 31, 2026. Born in Pittston, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Walsh) McQueen.

Raised in Pittston, she graduated from Saint John the Evangelist High School and met the love of her life, Vincent Tighe, whom she married on December 29, 1945. The couple eventually moved to Niagara Falls, NY, where they lovingly raised their three children.

Anne worked for many years as an operator with the New York Telephone Company. A devout Catholic, she was a dedicated parishioner of St. Mary of the Cataract Church. She also had a lifelong love of golf and was a proud member of Niagara Frontier Golf Club. In her later years, Anne moved to Jupiter, FL, to be closer to her children

Anne was predeceased by her husband, Vincent, in 1997. She is survived by her children, Nancy DeDario, Vincent "Buddy" (Lucille) Tighe, and Ellen (Thomas) Costanzo; many cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Joseph (late Marie) McQueen, Jane Reizel, and Rosemarie (Richard) Bird.

Anne’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 7 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 237 4th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14303. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
