Obituary

Annette M. Clute, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on May 23, 2024 at Newfane Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Chester A. and Frances V. (Gett) Kowalski.

Annette was a graduate of the former St. Mary's High School in Niagara Falls.  She was employed at 79th Street School as a Cafeteria Aide from 1979 until her retirement in 2018.  Annette also worked as a waitress at the York Steakhouse in the Summit Park Mall for 5 years in the late 1980s/early 1990s and later worked at the Old Country Buffet.  Annette enjoyed visiting Disney World every year since 1997.  She also enjoyed walking and watching television.  Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her beloved grand dog, Jake.

Annette is survived by her children, Gary (Rosalie) Clute, Michele Meranto, and Lori (Ron) Flaugher; her grandchildren, Nicole Clute, Courtney Clute, Victor Clute, Brandon (Barb) Meranto, Alexandria (Troy) Furco, Autumn Meranto, and Brooke Meranto; her great-grandchildren, Marilyn and Xavier; her brother, Chester Kowalski, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Annette's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 30 at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  Entombment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the Niagara County SPCA, https://www.niagaraspca.org/.  Arrangements by M.J.
