Anthony A. Rotella, 93, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13 ^th , 2017 at his residence. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Thomas and Angelina (Palumbo) Rotella.

Anthony enlisted into the United States Army on July 30, 1943 and served throughout Italy and France during World War II. He was honorably discharged on April 15, 1946 and awarded the Battle Star for his involvement in the Rhineland Campaign, as well as the Good Conduct Medal.

Following his discharge, Anthony obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Niagara University and received his Law degree from the University at Buffalo. Mr. Rotella served Niagara County for over 50 years in private practice as a family attorney. He also served as an assistant attorney for Niagara County, an assistant Corporation Counsel attorney for the City of Niagara Falls and an attorney for the Niagara Falls Housing Authority with appointment to the Niagara Falls Board of Appeals.

Anthony was predeceased by his son, Michael Rotella and his wife, Catherine (Feigenbaum) Rotella, as well as his siblings Frank (Anna Mae) Rotella, Joseph Rotella, Mary Biscone and Dolores Carey. He is survived by his sons, Anthony Arno (Nancy) Rotella, Robert Rotella both of Niagara Falls; longtime companion, Murial White of Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Christine Rotella of Richmond, VA, Angelina (William Fuller) Rotella of Alexandria, VA and Sarah (Greg Goujon) Rotella of Richmond, VA; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17 ^th from 4 – 7 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 9:15 A.M., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Raphael's Church, 3840 Macklem Ave, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment with Military Honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial offerings may be made to St. Raphael's Church.
