Obituary

Anthony A. Arico, 92, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on May 26, 2012 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Trenton, NJ he was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Previte) Arico.

Mr. Arico served in the United States Army during World War II. He was involved in the European campaigns landing on Omaha Beach in Normandy for the D-Day invasion. In 1972, Anthony married his loving wife, Dolores (Krulik) Arico in Niagara Falls, NY.

In addition to his wife, Anthony is survived by three children, Patricia Ruta of Amherst, NY, Robert LaPorte of Tuscan, AZ and James (Maria) Arico of Royal Palm Beach, FL; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three siblings, Nancy Poulos, Clara (Robert) Smith and Alfred (Sadie) Arico; one brother-in-law John (Nancy) Panza as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Arico was predeceased by his daughter, Bonnie (Michael of Las Vegas, NV) McKenna and his two brothers Joseph and Peter Arico.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday May 30th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Vincent De Paul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, concluding with Military Honors. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Buffalo, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, 5285 Lewiston Road, Lewiston, NY 14092.
