Anthony T. Carella, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on July 8, 2020 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Abraham and Genevieve (Colonna) Carella.

Anthony was raised in Niagara Falls and attended local schools.  He proudly served in the United States Army from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1956.  On January 19, 1957, he married Lorraine (Kujawa) Carella.  In the late 1950's, he started as an Apprentice and later became a Journeyman Plumber with the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #22.  He owned and operated his own business, Cayuga Plumbing, from 1970 until his retirement in 2000.

Anthony enjoyed collecting World War II artifacts, and was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills.  He enjoyed vacationing with his wife, and together, they spent 25 years' worth of winters in Florida.  Anthony was a great inspiration for many people who aspired to follow their dreams and build their livelihoods.    Above all, he cherished time spent with family, especially with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and his beloved Yorkie, Princess.

In addition to his loving wife of 63 years, Anthony is survived by his children, Genine (John) Golba, and Anthony D. (Peggysue Riley) Carella; his granddaughters, Stephanie (Mark) Santangelo, Camille (Ted Van Deusen) Caraglin, and Alyssa Carella; great-grandchildren Malaya Caraglin and Raffaele Santangelo; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Anthony was predeceased by his brothers, Gene (Ann Carella Frangione) Carella, Peter (Rose) Carella, and John (late Anita) Carella.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 13 from 4 – 6 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304.  Private funeral services and entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
