Anthony "Notch" Frattaroli, 81, of Kissimmee, FL, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY died on Tuesday September 21, 2010 in Orlando Regional Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Joseph and Louisa (Cicerone) Frattaroli.
Anthony attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1947. His passion in high school was playing basketball. During this period he acquired the name 'Notch' which became a standard joke with his family and friends. Tony served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1950 until his honorable discharge in 1952. In June of 1955, he married Ethel (Fehr) Frattaroli in St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls. Tony later worked at the former Kimberly Clark Co. in Niagara Falls until 1971, and in 1972 relocated his family to Kissimmee, FL where he presently lived. It was at this time he would undertake a great challenge and fulfill his dream, of owning his own business. Along with his wife at his side, Tony owned and operated Freddy's Doughnuts as well as a coin operated Laundromat, that both became very successful businesses.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Frattaroli is survived by his two children, Paul Frattaroli and Cathy Frattaroli both of Kissimmee, FL; his brother, Louis (late Ramona) Frattaroli of Niagara Falls, NY, four sisters, Mary (late Frank) Lipiano, Josephine (Joseph) Renda, Lena (late Edward) Edukonis all of Niagara Falls, NY and Caroline Frattaroli of Cleveland, TN, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by a brother Nick (late Emma) Frattaroli.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where services will begin on Tuesday September 28th at 11:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment with Military Honors will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
