Anthony M. Alfiere, Sr., 61, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, at Elderwood at Wheatfield. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late John “Poppy” and Jeannie Ann (Giannone) Alfiere.

Anthony attended local schools and began his working career with Modern Disposal before later joining National Vacuum Corporation, where he remained for many years. He was known for his dedication to his work and the pride he took in doing his job well.

When his children were younger, he loved coaching their tee-ball and Little League teams. He was an avid collector of sports cards, sports memorabilia, and coins, and he thoroughly enjoyed watching sports. Rarely seen without a cup of coffee in hand, he was known for always having one close by. Above all, Anthony cherished the time he spent with his family.

He is survived by his children, Toni (Shane) Moccio, Michael Alfiere, and Anthony “AJ” Alfiere, Jr.; his grandchildren, Luciana Moccio, Isabella Moccio, and Cameron Alfiere; his former spouse, Bonnie Alfiere; and his siblings, Linda (Edward) Barauskas, Diana (late Richard) Allinson, Patricia Alfiere, and James (Tricia) Alfiere. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Sharon Caruana.
