Anthony N. Pugliese, 58, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on November 29, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of Concetta (Nudo) Pugliese and the late Nicholas Pugliese.

Gucci, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School and later earned a Master's Degree from Niagara University where he played for the Niagara University Hockey Team. For the past 13 years Anthony worked for the Buffalo Public School District, most recently at Emerson School of Hospitality where he also coached football, basketball, and girls' softball. Anthony was an active member of St. Mary of the Cataract Church. He was an award-winning poker player who won numerous trophies and tournaments. Anthony was an avid sports fan and passionate golfer. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed rollerblading with his dogs. Above all Anthony will most be remembered for his generosity and willingness to do anything for anyone, especially those in need.

Anthony is survived by his beloved wife Sarah M. (de Rosa) Pugliese, four children, Stefanie, Cristian, Holly and Grace; one grandchild Addison, his siblings, Marie (Peter) Kandt, Anna (late Joseph) Macoretta, Frances (Nick Schoenfield) Armstrong, Nicholas Pugliese, Patricia (Mark) Deming, Carl (Karen) Pugliese and Bonita Pugliese as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, dear friends, and his de Rosa family.

Visitation will be on Friday from 4 – 9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259 Fourth Street, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Francis de Rosa and Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Internment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
