Anthony J. Severino, 89, of the Town of Niagara, NY died on Monday December 21, 2009 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in New York City, NY he was the son of the late Giacomo and Anna (Cucinella) Severino.

Anthony attended school in New York City. During World War II he served in the United States Army with the 6th Troop Carrier Squadron from October 17, 1941 until his honorable discharge on October 7, 1945. From 1946 until 1980, Anthony was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in New York City area. On July 22, 1960 he married Erna T. (Brown) Severino in New York City, and in 1980 they came to Niagara Falls where he lived until the present time. Mrs. Severino predeceased him on January 7, 2008. While living in the area, Anthony also worked for Benderson Corporation from 1980 until 1990. In his leisure time, he enjoyed reading.

Mr. Severino is survived by one nephew Jack Severino of Brooklyn, NY and one sister-in-law Ann (late Frank) O'Brien of Long Island, NY. He was also predeceased by one brother Phillip Severino, one sister Katherine (late Dominic) Avallone, and one brother-in-law William (Judy) Brown.
