Anthony P. DiMeo, 60, of Lockport, NY passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at his residence while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Louis M. and Annie M. (Comnack) DiMeo.

Anthony attended local Niagara Falls schools and served in the United States Army Reserves. He later attended the New York State Department of Corrections Academy, and was employed as a New York State Correctional Officer for twenty six years working at Albion Correctional Facility until his retirement in 2013. On July 12, 1986 he married Bonnie S. (Greenland) DiMeo at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Niagara Falls. Tony was extremely handy and used his skills to build and renovate his own home. In his leisure time he enjoyed golfing and target shooting. Above all, Tony will be remembered for his great sense of humor, and his love for being with his family.

In addition to his wife of twenty eight years he is survived by one son Anthony L. DiMeo of Lockport, NY; two sisters and one brother, RoseAnna Granata of Lewiston, NY; Louis C. DiMeo of Niagara Falls, NY and AnnMarie (Dan) Mancuso of Seminole, FL, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday December 29th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating.
