Anthony "Tony" J. Vacca, 76, of the Town of Niagara passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2016 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Americo and Flora (DiRamio) Vacca.

Tony was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. He attended local schools graduating from Niagara Falls High School, and later attended barber school in Buffalo. Tony owned and operated Vacca's Barber Shop on Military Road in the Town of Niagara and also worked as a real estate agent for Polin Real Estate Co. In 1971 he began a successful career as a car salesman at Massaro-Russo Chevrolet in Niagara Falls. After the dealerships closing he went on to work at Tunmore Oldsmobile until his retirement. Throughout his career, Tony won numerous awards for being the top salesman. Tony was an avid bowler who sponsored and participated in local bowling leagues. He was a member of the Niagara Travel and Social Club, as well as the Town of Niagara and North Tonawanda Senior Center. He was also an avid Buffalo Bills fan. But most of all, Tony loved people, especially socializing with his family and friends.

Tony is survived by his beloved wife of forty-five years, M. Teresa (Godino) Vacca whom he married on May 1, 1971 at Our Lady of Lebanon Church, one sister, Priscilla (late John) Sepielli of Niagara Falls, his nieces and nephews, Michael (Cindy) Sepielli of Ransomville, Tricia (James) Alfiere of Lewiston, Matthew Vacca of New York City and Catherine Craft-Fairchild of St. Paul, MN, his brother-in-law, Angelo Godino of the Town of Niagara and many great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by one brother Norman (late Diane) Vacca.

Visitation will be on Monday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 27th at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls.
