Antoinette M. (Rangatore) Accardo, 77, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Thursday May 14, 2009 at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Frank S. and Marietta (Blandi) Rangatore.

Antoinette, a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1949. She later attended Erie County Community College in Buffalo, NY where she earned her dental hygienist degree. On June 30, 1951 she married Dr. Joseph A. Accardo, Sr., at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Antoinette worked as a dental hygienist for her husband Dr. Joseph A. Accardo's dental practice in Niagara Falls. She served as president of the Woman's Auxiliary to the Niagara County Dental Society, as well as social chairmen, along with her husband, for many 8th District Dental Society meetings. Antoinette was a devoted supporter of the Cerebral Palsy Foundation and Niagara Hospice. She also enjoyed maintaining relations with her high school classmates regularly.

In addition to her husband of fifty seven years, Mrs. Accardo is survived by two sons Frank S. (Donna) Accardo of Chatsworth, CA and Joseph A. (Suzanne) Accardo, Jr. of Ephrata, PA and was predeceased by her oldest son John R. Accardo. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Joseph A. Accardo III, Christopher W. Accardo, Salvatore Accardo and John Accardo, one sister Vincenette (Dr. Guido) Losasso of Lewiston, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by one brother Salvatore J. Rangatore.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday May 18th at 10 a.m. in St. Raphael's Church, 3840 Macklem Avenue, Niagara Falls NY with Rev. Ivan Skenderovic officiating. Private entombment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY or to Niagara Cerebral Palsy, 9812 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304 . Arrangements by M.J.
