Antonette Cirrito, 92, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2019 at Schoellkopf Health Center.  Born on August 2, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Giacomo 'Jack' and Anna (Buongiorno) DeFranco.

Antonette was raised in Niagara Falls and attended local schools.  She married Sebastian M. "Buzzy" Cirrito, who predeceased her on June 22, 2005.  Antonette worked as a baker for her family business, Mom's Pizzeria, on 56 ^th Street, for many years.  In 1953, Antonette and "Buzzy" started Buzzy's Pizzeria, which eventually became located on Niagara Falls Boulevard.  After selling the pizzeria, Antonette worked as a baker for her nephew Gary at Favorite's Pizzeria in Lewiston, NY from the 1990's until her retirement.

Antonette enjoyed bowling in weekly leagues, collecting antiques.  She and her late sister Mary loved to dance and were the life of any event that they attended.  She will always be remembered for her extraordinary baking and cooking, as well as her kind nature, and never had a bad word to say about anyone.  Above all, Antonette was a loving and devoted grandmother to SammyJack Cirrito, who she greatly cherished.

Antonette is survived by her grandson, SammyJack Cirrito, as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Jack Michael Cirrito (Denise Ferro), her siblings, Patrick DeFranco, Mary Cirrito, and John DeFranco, as well as her brother-in-law Peter (late Sarah) Favorite.

Mrs. Cirrito's would like to extend his gratitude to Schoellkopf Heath Care Facility to the compassionate and comforting care provided to Antonette over the years, as well as to her nephew Anthony Garfalo for all of his help and support.

Visitation will begin on Monday, August 19 from 4 - 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 9:15 AM followed by Antonette's Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph's Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
