Antonio Mastrangelo, 93, of Grand Island, NY passed peacefully on Tuesday at Buffalo Hospice House in Cheektowaga, NY. Born in Accadia, Italy he was the son of the late Eupilo M. and Felecia M. (Rampino) Mastrangelo.
Antonio was raised and educated in Italy. He later immigrated to the United States and settled in the Niagara Falls area. He was employed as a custodian for the New York Power Authority in Lewiston, NY for more than twenty years until retiring in 1985. Antonio enjoyed cooking and loved gardening.
Antonio was predeceased by his wife Josephine M. (Passanese) Mastrangelo on December 3, 1999. He is survived by two children Felicia (Ronald) Lepine and Anthony L. Mastrangelo both of Grand Island, NY and was predeceased by his daughter Laurie Ann Mastrangelo. He is also survived by four grandchildren Laurie Lepine, Jennifer (Nate) Carr, Nina Mastrangelo and Anna (George) Ihle, four great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by seven brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be on Friday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 23rd at 10 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S. officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
