Arlene Cologgi, 86, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at her home unexpectedly. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the beloved daughter of the late Matteo and Yolanda (Sicurella) Chiarenza.

Raised in Niagara Falls, Arlene graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On October 14, 1967, she married her beloved husband, Joseph Cologgi, at St. Joseph’s Church—a loving union that remained the heart of her world.

Arlene was employed for many years as an office secretary at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center prior to her retirement.

She enjoyed games of chance, especially horse racing and casino outings, and cherished time spent at the Finger Lakes with her husband and friends. Above all, Arlene devoted her life to her family, whom she cherished deeply.

In addition to her husband of 59 years, Arlene is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased her son, Dino Cologgi; her brother, Mathew Chirenza, two half-sisters and one half-brother.
